Great post. You are right SEO is changing and Google is adjusting to the ever increasing amount of information. Just posting your url is no longer enough and one need to understand SEO techniques in order to be ranked on the search engines.
With the evolution of web2.0 technologies, many factors are now taking into consideration. As you mentioned key words is an essentila part of SEO but many other techniques like inter exchange of links, and content optimization as also required to achieve high ranking. It’s amazing how much has changed and is continuing to change with Internet marketing, especially in the area of SEO. Many people still swear back-links are king in the SEO world (to establish Page Rank, hence Page Position), yet many sites are actually gaining great page position with no page rank. Internet marketers will greatly benefit by learning the ins and outs of social buzz and content syndication which seems to be the current trend to enhanced SE results.
