Success is defined as the complete attainment of  long planned goals, like a journey where a person starts taking on a single step at a time to reach a desired destination.

A certain level of personal development, personal growth and self-improvement helps a person to attain success in their lives.  These ingredients enrich relationships, career prospects, professional success and life in general.

Personal development, personal growth and self-improvement techniques are inter-related and help to improve  personal and professional lives. With hard work, discipline, and careful planning, being successful can  be attained.

Being Positive

If you want to be successful in life, you need the will and determination to push through with your goal and a positive outlook and perspective on life. Your optimism and the way you look at life’s situations will more or less affect and determine your performance.

Remember, a negative attitude drains a person’s spirit and energy.   Success starts with a positive mental attitude.  A positive attitude  keeps creative ideas flowing and energizes you so that you can move forward towards your goals.

Rest and Relax

If you feel that you are stressed, you always have the exclusive right to take a break.  Take some time to replenish yourself  physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Even one day or a few hours of good sleep can  help you bounce back to your usual self.

Building Self Confidence

Self-confidence means believing in oneself. A little boost in self-confidence allows you to take long steps towards achieving your goals in life.  A lack of self-confidence hampers personal growth. If you are one with low esteem and low self-confidence you should take steps to build your self-confidence before it is too late. People who lack self-confidence tend to have self-doubt, fear, inferiority complex, etc. If you want to be successful in life you need to overcome all these negative traits.

Feed Your Soul

Your body is not the only one who feels hunger. Your emotions and soul also needs to be fed, and you can do it by engaging in warm-hearting activities such as doing some volunteer work, spending time with your loved ones and family, taking care of a pet, etc.

As long as you don’t deprive yourself of the simple yet priceless things in life, you can be sure that you won’t have a hard time seeing the positive side of life. Learn to cherish and appreciate the simple things in life.  Make it a habit to be optimistic, yet realistic at the same time.

Download The Free EbookAre You Getting Lucky Tonight?”

brenda1As I mentioned on the last post, every single site I’ve been on that has Internet marketing tools say THEY have the very best material for you in every way. They all say the same thing, so how do you as a new marketer determine what is right for you?

A rating of the material with regards to necessary prerequisite skills would be helpful. Think of the wide variety of Web Site builder programs for example. Some are very “plug and play”, but will allow a pre-determined amount of templates or you can create custom web sites with very advanced programs.

How about a sample of “what you get” so that you can determine if it will work for you.? Maybe they could put an excerpt of the Internet Marketing Tools available on-line for you to see how they write, the topics they will cover, the depth of the information?

You can type in “the author’s name“ or “name of material” and “forum”.  This may bring up some discussion of the material for sale.  Having said that, remember people are more likely to post a negative comment before a positive one.

You also need to read all comments for a fair description of the material.  Maybe the network marketing training was too technical for Jack S., but great for the advanced user. Possibly the material was written only for beginners and that’s why Jodi M. was unhappy.  You can usually tell a fair review verses an emotional rant.

Talk to other people in your industry and see what Internet marketing tools they might recommend. You might be surprised at the number of helpful network marketing tips you get … for free. Ultimately you must decide if this expert fits with your needs. Is there a match?

coffee outside The home-based business owner can approach an individual with various opportunities that might fit their needs. While the idea of being approached with your home-business opportunity turns off most merchants, many end users will be open to both the idea of great products and an extra paycheck.

Usually you will only need one or two contacts with a consumer for them to decide to try your product or service. Some of this depends on the cost and commitment of your product.

Normally, it will require some time before they join you in your home-based business, even if they are your best prospects.  They will need time to decide for themselves.

It’s not easy for many people starting their home-based business to make that first call to a new prospect.

First Time Calling A Prospect:

A) Establish a prospect’s why

B) Establish you as the person with the solution.

You are basically a facilitator of a solution. The initial conversation should establish a mutual and meaningful discussion between you and your prospect.

Knowing how to handle your first phone conversation with a prospect is one of the best network marketing tools you can possess.

Emotional Sabatoge

Many multi-level marketing business business owners search for the right thing to say in that first phone call, but end up pushing the potential business partner or client away with sales pressure or coming across as desperate.

The problem with many business owners is they are so eager to pour out their emotions about how great their business and products are that before they know it, they’ve sabotaged any chance of the prospect wanting to take a further look.

It’s All About …. Who?

The home-based business owner has made this first phone conversation all about themselves. Believe it or not, the person on the other end of the line isn’t interested in you personally or your company and products. All they are interested in is whether your offer can benefit them.

Try to remember how if felt before you found your home-based business and you were the prospect. I am offering a FREE Shopping page for visiting my site.  I ordered personal checks last night and saved about $8 over what I normally spend on checks. You can save on business and personal purchases.

There are many different types of home-based businesses to choose from.  Some people begin a more traditional business while others are interested in something a little different.

Hair Salon Owners -  Some hairdressers have opened their own salon’s in their homes.  All of these women had the same expenses as any other business owner would have, but they worked from home. All three of them built a separate or extended room on their home to run their business with a separate entrance.

These business owners still had to network to gain customers.  They had to advertise their business just as any other business and purchase the same salon products needed to take care of their clients.

Eventhough these businesses were based out of their homes, they still had the same business model,  the same expenses, employee issues, advertising costs as anyone else would have.

Network Marketing Business - Your home-based business works just a little differently than the traditional business model.  The network marketing business owner walks into a situation where the business model is set up for them.

Network marketers already have a product, the company normally provides a team of professionals trained to provide the home-based business owners with the tools necessary to build a successful business.

The network marketer is responsible for their own advertising, but some companies are creating more of a franchise relationship where they help the business owner by advertising in a more global manner.

There’s little doubt Internet marketing still offers the average person the best opportunity to create long and lasting wealth. With the economic conditions currently going through tough times, more and more people are looking for ways to create security for themselves and their families and the owning a home-based business is an obvious attraction.
Today, there is more to this industry than meets the eye. We’re talking about the new wave of community based network marketing which is still in it’s infancy, but because of it’s structure, is offering a wide base of appeal to those who thought network marketing was tough.
Yes, it can be tough but most of the time that’s because many confuse it with get rich quick opportunities and it’s definitely a business which needs time to nurture.
The emergence of community network marketing means people who once detested the thought of actually approaching and speaking to others about a business opportunity basically don’t need to anymore if they don’t want to.
What Is Community Based Internet Marketing

In a nutshell, community based Internet marketing is based around the concept of alleviating the pressures of having to be a recruiter, salesperson, motivator and customer support for people entering the business. There is a definite overwhelm factor when someone first enters the fold.
Community networking solves this problem by having specialist people in specialist areas. For example, sales calls are made by trained phone sales people. The recruiting is done by those with a strong success record in this area. The marketing and promotion is done by those with a proven track record in marketing.
But it doesn’t end there. The beauty of this type of Internet marketing set up is that members are accountable for work within the system. In other words, no one gets a free ride. Everybody is encouraged to take part in promotions through tasks such as article marketing, producing web 2 properties and blog promotions.
There is a double barrel opportunity to source leads. Firstly, the group as a whole share in the lead distribution by the organization’s marketing and promotion and members also can generate their own leads.
Another positive aspect centers on Internet network marketing training. It’s the core element of attracting leads within the organization and members are taught the various aspects of marketing online.
Many come straight from the old school world of MLM so online marketing is something new, but once they realize the power of applying attraction marketing techniques to their promotions, they never look back.
Did you know community based network marketing is not just an MLM system for success, but it’s also a training ground teaching Internet marketing skills which members can count on, apply and have an edge over their competitors.

One of the most misunderstood aspects about prospecting in your Internet marketing business is following up with a prospect once they enter your sales funnel.
Did you know that many Internet marketers are taught that some will and some won’t and to simply move on. It’s one of the anomalies about being true to an “upline” and following all the advice they give. This type of advice can cost you big time. There shouldn’t be upline, downline….. there should be a “team”.
Why You Should Follow-Up
Simply because it could cost you a “Diamond Director” or two and a lot of money. The follow up is vital in any network marketing business because the same sales principles apply. Most people won’t buy on the first look. In other words, very few people will actually join a network marketing business on the first approach.
In fact, more than 80% will hold off until at least the fifth follow up so to be told that some will and some won’t is a little reckless. The only time there is any credence to a statement like this is when you are told to never contact someone again and the person makes it clear they are not interested.
New Landscape For Internet Marketers
Most times this will dent a network marketer’s confidence but that’s something you really don’t have to worry about anymore. That was something common with old school network marketing but today, the landscape has changed and instead of being told face-to-face or over the phone to please remove someone from your contacts list, now all a person has to do is hit the unsubscribe button.
Following up with a prospect also requires some tact. The last thing you want to do is blast someone’s email account with sales pitch after sales pitch. Most times, your email will get directed to the spam folder and lost.
Using a series of emails with a strong emphasis on education and training will get you and your Internet marketing business positive reaction on most occasions. It will help break down the barriers between your prospect and you. If they genuinely believe you’re sincere about your intentions to help them they’ll soon let you know.
By educating them and offering people something of value such as a FREEShopping Membership you are both creating a relationship with them and eliminating any desire they may have to unsubscribe from your emails. In fact, by providing great information without any sales pitch involved, many will actually consider it a cost to themselves to remove themselves from your list.
So don’t get discouraged when you don’t get a response the first time you make contact with a prospect. The truth is, you are actually “under the microscope” as a potential mentor so don’t blow it with a barrage of sales pitches.
