Trends aren’t just restricted to physical advertising, they can be observed in internet marketing as well. You can exploit these trends to attract more customers and gain more revenue. But just like real world trends, if you don’t jump on these online trends quickly enough, you’ll find yourself left behind. Currently, social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Friendster are among the major marketing trends.

Know how internet marketing trends can help you to raise the profit with social media marketing.

Users can create their profiles free of cost and update their hobbies, personal and professional details, etc on almost all of these networks. It is also possible for users to post pictures and videos on most of these. Searching people and adding them as friends can be done once the profile creation is complete.

The whole point of these networking sites is to get in contact with friends, family, and, sometimes, total strangers. What really piques our curiosity is the complete stranger’s part. It’s possible for you to reach millions of people by creating a profile for your business and adding people as your friends. Unique profiles can be created for bands, authors and filmmakers on some of these sites, for example, MySpace.

Looking for your profile and adding you as a friend becomes much easier with this. It is good to be added by people but take heed that you do not appear as spam when you invite people to be friends. There are enough fake spam profiles on these sites that they’ve all cracked down on people sending out mass invites.

Make it a point to ask only those people who are eager to see your offering. The use of keywords is also one more internet marketing trend. The latest craze these days is Search engine optimization, or SEO. It involves using keywords, or words that describe your site and your products/services, a certain number of times on your website and in your site’s titles and metadata. Use of these keywords repeatedly will make your site a lot more interesting to search engines such as Google and Yahoo. The premise is that your site gets lesser views and business when it is listed on the third or fourth page of search results than it would if it was listed on the first page.

This is obviously not true all the time. If your page doesn’t include what the user is looking for, they aren’t going to buy anything from you. Still, there is merit to the part of the theory that says you’ll get more traffic. A tad bit of research on SEO will enable you to optimize your website yourself; at the same time there are numerous companies that are readily available who will get the job done. Be judicious now: the one thing you wouldn’t wish for is a person who writes text for your web page that is all keywords.

In case your page gives the impression of being flat to a normal human, it is likely that they will look right through it in support of a page that does. You website can get loads of additional hits, if you concurrently put to use, the social networks and SEO systems. The importance of getting people to your website cannot be undermined by the fact that hits don’t always convert over to dollars. Abiding by these internet marketing trends is a tactic that will ensure a rise in hits, usually translating to a boost in business.

Before jumping right into a home business, think about how much available space you have in your home that can be dedicated to the business. Many home businesses can get by with very little in the way of floor space.  If you do not expect a lot of foot traffic, essentially performing your work on the Internet, then you probably do not need a lot of floor space to provide a good working environment.

Room To Move

On the other hand, you do not want your home office space to be so cluttered with your business equipment and supplies that there is not enough room to move. Working in a confined area can be very frustrating. Many people really like to spread out while they work and others are happy with just enough space to hold what they need, but whichever personality you have, the space needs to be neat, clean and organized.

You do not always have to settle for the smallest room in the house if you are planning to isolate your office from the rest of the house, nor should you chase everyone out of the family room so you can have a bigger desk and way more file cabinets than you will ever use. Get out your pencil, paper and measuring tape and make a drawing of what your ideal home office space should look like and then adjust it to fit into the available area of the house. It is never a good idea to use the kitchen table as your home office desk, but if you have to use the kitchen, find another table that fits so you don’t end up with food stains on your work.

What Do I Need?

As a general rule you will need a desk, typically about four-feet long along with a chair in order to work comfortably in your new home office. A single filing cabinet for your record keeping may also have a top large enough to hold your computer’s printer, fax machine or other type of office equipment, requiring no additional floor space. You will also need a trashcan and a shredder.  Having said all of that, I have decided I like working on a little smaller desk when I am working on my home business.  I offer free shopping memberships to people in every country so they can save money and making money in the process.  I have one folder for my records because the vast majority of everything I need remains on my computer for easy  access.

Depending on your type of  home business, you may have a need for a larger table on which to layout larger projects. However, unless it will be used on a daily basis, you can find other accommodations when it is needed. Using the kitchen table once in a while is not forbidden, provided you clean it up before dinnertime.

Realistically, an eight-foot square room may be all you need, but after a few days it may feel more like serving a sentence than going to work. You will want it to be open and airy, but put any windows to the side or behind your chair to minimize distractions. You should never use additional office space for storage. Once boxes of junk are put in place, they are going to be there for the long haul.

Think carefully about how you work and how you want your home business office to work for you before setting it in stone.

ENetwork marketing works if the products or services offered have a market that needs them.  I believe in it because we all “network” at some point. It’s not always what you know, but who you know.  More business deals have been made on the golf course than in the boardroom.

Take my daughter for example:

She was looking for her first job at 16.  She turned in several applications, but nothing really happened. She also “networked” without realizing that’s what it was called.  She visited with friends to find out where they worked (she’s the youngest) and asked what it was like, if there were openings.  She would have used some of her friends as references (networking).

As it turned out networking did get her the two jobs she currently has.  I was in my investors office and they mentioned needing some part-time help.  I mentioned Kayla. They knew her and asked me to have her call them.  Her second job was acquired when we were picking out her prom dress.  We had purchased from them last year and been in there quite a bit.  The owner was looking for seasonal temporary help and asked Kayla to come work for her.  Networking, talking to people about what it is you’re looking for

We all network, but finding a company with products or services that will be in high demand by the general population makes it difficult.  Many MLM companies carry products that are not distinctive to the general public, but demand a high price.  If you just compare the number of MLM companies that carry nutrition and skin care products only to each other, how does a consumer decide which is truly distinctive?  You have to get them to try the product….. more later.

brenda2When the owner of an MLM company is structuring his/her compensation plan, do you think they count on the retail sales distributors provide to keep their doors open?

Most MLM’s are structured so that the distributors who are on autoship are the people who are counted on to pay for the business expenses.

While every company “needs” consumer sales to survive, MLM’s themselves don’t need many.  Consumer sales are “dessert” so to speak.

As an example:

Monty is a business builder with XYZ company and has committed to a $250 monthly autoship order (which is about 5 months for the average consumer).  Once Monty places the order, he can either sell the products or keep them for his own personal use.

This is actually a brilliant move because consumers are fickle.  The liklihood of them committing to $50 per month over a long period of time, much less $210 per month is extremely low (remember tax and s&h)  .

The network marketer is the entree and the consumer is the dessert!

brenda2One of the main differences between a blog and a static website is the way people are able to collaborate with your content. With a static site it’s just people reading words on a page.

When you have a blog they can explore and even comment back! You want to get that sort of interactive spirit going so you can create a loyal readership with your blog.

That doesn’t mean it’s easy! There are literally millions of blogs out there all vying for the attention of your audnce. It can be even harder to grab people’s attention when you’re just getting started.

The bad news is that it’s going to take some work and dedication to build up a loyal readership. The good news is that it’s very possible, and even fun, to put these things into place. Follow these rules and you’ll have the kind of repeat visitors and fans that really make blogging worth your while.

A Few Ideas For Great Blogs

Write Great Content

If your content stinks there is no way people are going to come back and read again! They’ll just click away, never to return. If you write great content, however, you’re sure to get some fans. Not everyone considers themselves to be a good writer. That’s OK! No one expects you to have perfect grammar and spelling. It’s far more important that you write interesting content that stands out from the crowd. Give your real thoughts and opinions on things that matter to the audience.

When you write great content, not only will you have people who want to visit your blog, but they will also link to you! You know that more linking means higher rankings in Google. That’s definitely a great thing that will expand your readership base to levels you couldn’t even imagine when you got started.

Leave the Comments Open

It’s amazing - but there are bloggers out there who close their comments! While it can be a lot of work to try and get rid of those spam comments, you’re also missing out on a big part of what being a blogger is all about. You need to let the audience write back and speak their mind too. People don’t just want a website they can read anymore, they want one they can add their “2 cents” to. So, leave your comments open and listen to them. It doesn’t matter if people always agree with you or not (they won’t!), you’ll get a much larger and interested following.

Guest Blog

The chances are good that there are some blogs out there that are very well-liked by the people in your niche. These blogs probably get a lot of traffic and a lot of respect. It’s time to get your name and website out there in front of this audience! All you need to do is write to the owner and say that you’d like to write some guest posts. They may be more than happy to take a break from their own posting and to give you a link back to your blog. This will not only give you link juice for the search engines, you’ll also win some of their loyal readers who are interested in what you have to say.

Learning how to create a loyal readership with your blog is incredibly important if you want your blog to thrive. It’s all about the people, and making sure they are aware of your blog and love your content.

If you have your own business, whether it is a brick and mortar business or fully online, you should be aware of the benefits online marketing to you.

The Task Of Selling

To most small businesses, any sort of selling could be a difficult task, even online marketing. Honestly, it does take a lot of work and endurance, sometimes even cash. You will find that with an understanding of how internet marketing works you can utilize it to build your business.

Internet Savvy

In a very short time, the internet has become the most used technique of communication by the public. It is also becoming their favorite place to make purchases. Many people prefer the hassle free experience that online shopping affords.  On the Internet they can find the best items at the lowest prices with no waiting in line. Online marketing offers your business a cost effective selling tool that may boost your product distribution  network.

Advertising Methods

Online marketing is much cheaper than normal advertising methods, and since there are fewer invoices or fliers needed, you are able to save storage space too. When it is compared to printing brochures, managing a call center, or purchasing radio and TV advertising, you can see why many people prefer online marketing.

With online marketing you will be ready to reach millions of potential customers each day. Consumers are constantly looking for products and services on the internet, so when you advertise to your niche market on the internet you will have people actively seeking your products or services.

With an online store, you have the advantage of being open each day of the year. Online marketing gives you the chance to reach a larger number of people and at a cheaper price compared to conventional methods of advertising.

Online marketing also utilizes email which is an instant form of communication. It makes it simple to contact buyers and take orders right away. Using the internet can give you a major benefit over your rivals.

Methods Of Internet Advertising

These include ezines, blogs, pay per click ads, e-mail campaigns, traffic sites and many others. Using a combination of  advertising methods, you will find that you’re able to increase awareness of your company, fortify relationships with current customers, and attract new customers .  It pays to add online marketing to your advertising menu!

brenda5There is little doubt network marketers are your number one target market when promoting your network marketing opportunity. Why?

Network marketers already know the business, how it works, and more importantly, what’s required. Network marketers are people who are normally looking for a better way of life.

But just pitching to MLMers the old school way won’t cut it. Don’t be surprised if you get run out of town just putting it mildly. Targeting network marketers directly is frowned upon and worse still, it’s spells desperation.

When we say targeting network marketers for your home-based business opportunity, we are talking about putting your offer in front of people who actually want to receive it. Can you see the difference? It’s huge. Instead of harassing and chasing people down, branding yourself and putting your message in the middle of a hungry crowd will create magic as far as lead generation is concerned.

brenda As far as network marketing tips are concerned, avoiding a desperate demeanor on the phone is high on the list. For example, many new recruits are so excited about speaking to their first prospect they already have them recruited and placed in their organization before they’ve even spoken with them.

Another network marketing tip for you is to never ask your prospect to join your business because you’re in the best company which has the best products, life-changing in fact, and they have the best compensation plan bar none. Most everyone believes this about their company, and most companies have some very good products.

The prospect will see a desperate individual trying to sign them up at any cost. In fact, you’ll come across as having no interest in their needs, only yours.

Today’s network marketing tip is to make sure you put your prospect’s needs ahead of your own.  How can you help them reach their goals?  Can you help them?

Be honest with them about what your company has to offer and let them decide if it works for them.  Be sure to offer your readers something of value.  I offer my readers a Free Shopping Membership to my online shopping mall.  There is no obligation except to save a little money youthey shop.

brenda1No doubt you have heard of relationship marketing?  Why are so many people utilizing the social networking sites to keep in touch with friends and build their businesses?

Social sites are an awesome way to reconnect with classmates and old friends you may have lost track of temporarily.  I recently became more active in Facebook because I found many of my high school classmates there.  That has been a blast!

How about quickly chatting with some of your peers in Twitter or Social Median? You may not know everyone as well as you do your former classmates, but it’s a great way to build relationships.

Relationship Marketing” is NOT just a popular new term.  Building relationships with people is what network marketing is all about.  People are fine with email and chatting on instant messenger once they get to know you, but the personal touch is still a very desirable to most people.

If you live across the country or even state from your team, pick up the phone once in a while and let them know you care about them as a person. Building relationships in social networking sites works, but only if you are genuine.

brenda1When talking to a prospect for your work from home business try to give out company links when possible so the prospect can review the material.

Once the material is reviewed, ask questions that will help them determine if the work from home business you have is for them.

Good Questions To Ask A Prospect:

1) What are you looking for in a home business?

2) How familiar are you with the computer?

3) How many hours per week do you have to devote to a home business?

4) How do you see yourself marketing your business?

Once you have qualified your prospects, sit back and let them tell you what will work best for them.

Be ready to help them get started!
