Sometimes when I introduce people to my network marketing business as a customer, they say “
I don’t want to pay shipping“. Shipping is charged every time they buy a product at the mall, Target, the grocery store? It is just built into the price and doesn’t seem to be as bad to customers.
I understand how they feel to an extent because I would rather not purchase clothing or shoes that are fitted because there is a good chance I would have to send it back unless it is something very unusual. Clothing manufacturers do not create their products on a standard scale.
What A Customer Wants:
I found some curtains at the “Pottery Barn” in the mall. They cost $24 per panel. I knew I would like them and I made sure of the size and then checked with “Pottery Barn” on line. I found the exact same thing for $14.95. After shipping and handling was added (the only variable to my order), I saved over $20 for the same thing.
What does every consumer, network marketing or otherwise want? Best Value for their dollar !!!! Find a network marketing business that
saves you, the customer, money even with the shipping. It may not be as hard as you think with gas prices at close to $4.00 per gallon. Even if you live in a town, you may have a 30 minute round trip to get to what you need, plus the value of your time!
What if you live in a rural area and must drive 10 or 15 miles to the nearest grocery store (which are higher than mass merchandisers)…… to shop in a Target or Walmart, Cosco or Sams, you may have to drive 60, 90, 120 miles round trip! How much did you spend in gasoline and time?
I know I like to save money and I meet myself coming and going, so if it saves both money and time, I’m interested !!!

Janet has been working her home-based business for about six months and is finding she is running out of quality leads.
After calling her warm market and then branching out to her acquaintances, Janet must generate leads to increase her business.
There are several directions Janet is considering in order to expand her current target market. She is considering joining social networking sites, writing articles, joining traffic sites, or finding some blogs to post helpful information on and leave her information. It isn’t clear yet what will work best for Janet in order to build her home based business the way she would like, but there is one thing Janet knows……
Janet knows she needs to market herself rather than the company in which she has become a member. Why would you do that?
What if the same thing happens to Janet that happens to many people who have joined a network marketing company?
What if:
1) Janet’s company changes the rules and members feel this particular home based business is no longer a viable option
2) What if Janet realizes her marketing strategy will not work with this company
3) Janet may find her network marketing company closing it’s doors.
It really doesn’t matter what Janet’s reasons are for changing her home based business. It’s her business and
business evolves whether it is a traditional business or a network marketing business. We must either evolve or we will die. Network marketing is changing rapidly, so the one thing Janet knows is that she should market herself !
If Janet has effectively marketed herself, she can plug in a different company anytime she is ready. Maybe she is interested in working two home based businesses? We don’t know, so follow Janet’s lead and market yourself !! You can take your marketing anywhere you like if you own your own work.
Do your Internet marketing prospects say they hesitate to join because they will have to pay shipping and they will need to place an order each month?
While I understand what people are thinking, with gas prices at almost $4.00 per gallon, it may cost as much to buy at the store as it does through a home-based business for a better quality product by the time they drive there and back.
Some consumers do not wanting to be obligated to a monthly product order because they are afraid they will be forced to buy things they don’t really need right now.
I realized if I had A Lot of everyday products for my customers to choose from, I would save them money, time, and give them a great value. Ultimately offering a value to your customer is a key. I offer a

My customers would want to order products monthly because they would need what I have to offer. They would not feel they were spending money they didn’t have on products they don’t really need.
It doesn’t matter what products you carry, your customer must have a need for the products you offer. As you are qualifying prospects, ask questions and consider whether or not your prospects will consider your Internet marketing products a need or a want?
What if someone you didn’t know called you out of the blue and asked you to join their home-based business? You don’t know them. You’ve never even met!! The liklihood of them joining you that night is not great.
Network marketing is all
about the relationships. You will need to take some time to get to know them first and let them get to know you.
This is why email blasts from someone you’ve never heard of just end up in the trash and eventually their spam file. Very few people will respond to a home-based business opportunity without getting to know the person giving the presentation in one way or another.
Why do people join network marketing companies?
1) Some people want to belong to something great.
2) They are interested in the product or services this company has available to them.
3) Others see an opportunity to build something great.
4) If a person is looking for a home-based business, they probably want time & financial freedom.
People are looking for something they can get involved in and achieve their goals, whatever they may be. People don’t join companies ,
they join the people in those companies and the groups they want to be a part of as they strive to meet their personal goals.
If you are interested in building a network marketing business, remember people join people they know, like and trust. Get to know people and give them a chance to see the real you.
Many people are facing financial challenges with the rising gasoline prices and ultimately rising prices on all products and services. Internet Marketing Businesses are an attractive option to retire, stay home with children, or create an additional paycheck.
Internet Marketing Businesses provide the average person an opportunity for extra-ordinary success. Research your prospective business to make sure it is legitimate. Is the company selling their product to real consumers or are the only consumers those who are building a business?
Some Internet Marketing Businesses publish their results in magazines, their literature or on-line. Look over their results and find out what the team is doing that you are looking at joining.
If your goal is to build a business, you don’t want to join a team just because your best friend, Sally is involved. You would want to join a team that has the capability and desire to help you succeed.
As this question: How many people in your team are making a significant income? It’s not just about the top two or three “winning”; what about the people who just started six months ago and have worked as hard as they can? How are they doing?
Do you or your team have a lead generating system any person who becomes a member of your team would be able to use effectively? How about solid business training? You may not need help generating new leads or step by step training, but having a system to offer all your members is a definate advantage because many people do not want to talk to family and friends.
Residual Income is income that continues to build whether we are personally performing the service or selling the product at the time or not. Some people call residual income
Beach Money.
Some examples of residual income include:
Michael Jordan: Mr. Jordan created a few commercials for Hanes and Nike one time and is paid over and over for that work each time they are aired.
Elvis Presley: Elvis sang his songs one and now his daughter,Lisa Marie is paid over and over on the work Elvis did one time.
Julia Roberts: An actress is paid once for the movie she makes, but will receive movie royalties each time the movie is aired.
Harry Potter books are very popular. J.K. Rowling will write the book once and then be paid for every copy sold thereafter. She did the work once, but is paid a royalty fee over and over.
What if you don’t have the basketball talent of Jordan, singing talent of Elvis, or the acting talent of Julia Roberts?
Owning your own
home-based business with direct marketing as your means of distribution is one viable option for many people to earn residual income and build a future for their families.
Residual income is earned long after the work has been completed, thus the term “beach money”. You may be enjoying the beach while earning residual income.
Residual income is the ultimate goal for many people who become involved in network marketing. Some businessess offer an opportunity for
true residual income while others will tell you “
it’s a work program” and if you quit working, the income does stop. Just know what works for you going into a business.
A good lead generation system must be one that any personality can utilize. The system must be designed for all walks of life to be able to succeed.
The following is an example of someone who is successful with network marketing, but has no system to offer her people.
Mary owns her own health food store and is extremely knowledgeable in the area of alternative health. Because of her vast knowledge, Mary is able to attract most everyone who comes to her for health advice to her
network marketing business.
While Mary is more than willing to help her team in any way she can, her
method of generating leads is not available to them because they do not have the retail presence or the knowledge in alternative health options that Mary enjoys. Without a
lead generating system to plug her people into, Mary will eventually lose many of them due to frustration.
Mary can tell her team how she has found success, but owning your own health food store and gaining knowledge in alternative health are not duplicatable. The lead generating system a team utilizes must be duplicatable by everyone on the team.
