1) We need a line of communication with our prospects because in order to help them, they must feel comfortable enough to tell us what they are looking for in a business opportunity.
4) Many people have already been tricked, deceived, lost money on someone else’s “sure thing”… they are unwilling to trust you immediately, and rightfully so
5) Prospects, just like a new employee, need and want training to help them succeed in their business
6) Prospects need a system set in place to help them work their business.
Are you a prospect looking for a network marketing opportunity? If you are, you know what I am saying. If you are a business owner, learning how to recognize those who are driven to succeed and developing a way to help each one where they are is a large part of your job.

One of the keys to building a successful home-based business is getting involved with it at a level where you become immersed in it. That means you can’t go at it half-heartedly.
What about the missing link to the puzzle many seem to overlook? Let’s go back to the beginning and ask again…”Do you really know what your prospect wants?” Most network marketers want the usual things; to be able to work from home and get rid of the J.O.B., financial freedom and to be able to take lots of vacations.

It’s important to be able to connect with a prospects wants and needs during the first contact. This first call/email should both establish a prospect’s why and establish you as the person with the solution.
2. Are they still looking for a home based business or have they found one?
3. Next, you need to ask how long they have been on the search for a home based business?
4. Have they found anything that has peaked their interest?
5. Now it’s time to delve a little deeper. What is the most important thing in the prospect’s life? If they had no financial restrictions what would they devote most of their time to?
6. Finally, you need to establish their level of desire because without any desire, they probably won’t be a good fit for you as a business associate. Use a number scale such as 1 to 5 or 1 to 10.

Many home-based business owners confuse activity with taking action. This is a common mistake and you’ve got to realize activity doesn’t constitute action.
In other words, reading a book or simply turning up to a meeting won’t grow your home-based business. What will start the growth cycle is positive action where the cause will lead to an effect which will earn you money down the line. Attending a meeting without a prospect is just activity. Attending a meeting with a prospect is action.
You took the steps to attract the prospect into your home-based business funnel and now, with solid pre-sell strategies, there’s a strong chance your prospect will join your business. But again, this depends a lot on you and how well you sell yourself.
Internet Marketing Environment
The online environment is proving a boon for business owners. What started out as a good idea not long ago has spawned into one of the biggest revolutions the industry has seen. Some fear that there will be a bottleneck of network marketers vying for prospects online.
In the days of old school MLM fears that a market would become fished out were legitimate.
There are literally thousands of new people coming online everyday, and many of them are looking for a home-based business opportunity.
This is where the alert Internet marketer can take advantage of the work smarter rule. It’s great to be dedicated, but dedication can often be confused with progress and while you may be putting effort into your business, unless you’re seeing growth and a new influx of leads coming into your business funnel on a consistent basis, then you’re efforts will be wasted.
Working Smart In Your Home-Based Business
The key to working smarter starts with prospecting. If you’re approaching every one you know and people you half know about a business opportunity then you’re not working smart. If you’re buying leads and spending hours and hours on the phone copping rejection after rejection then you’re not working smart.
However, if you’re placing your marketing and promotions in front of a hungry and targeted audience, then you’re working smart. Here’s and example of what we’re talking about…if you’re fishing for freshwater bass then you wouldn’t be dropping a line in the ocean trying to catch one. But if you’re fishing for freshwater bass and you drop your bait and line in a freshwater lake where they hang out, then what are the chances you’ll attract attention and have them chasing your bait?
Pretty good, and that’s the same thinking behind putting your offer in front of a targeted hungry crowd who are actually looking for a home-based business. This is exactly where you have an advantage of prospecting online. There are millions of people looking for a home-based business of their own, so target your marketing in that direction.
One way is to use relevant keywords in your article content. Another is to use those keywords prominently in your article titles. Yet another is to link those keywords within your articles and highlight them in your resource box.

The next crucial element is to continually tighten the grip on your own commitment. List every step of your plan. Plan a regular schedule each day to do these tasks. Where will you be? Who can you go to when you have questions? You need to be able to talk to someone who is actually using the Internet marketing system you’ll be usine and is getting good results with it right now.

1) There are real comments. Don’t just put a list of random websites.
2) Make your comments relavent to the post you are commenting on. If the post is on ” how to scrapbook”, don’t post something about ” your European travels”
3) If the blog owner’s site is “clean”, no bad language, no discussions about….. “well, just nothing that isn’t relavent to the blog owner’s content”
4) If the blog owner’s site is “clean”, they probably will want only “clean” content and “clean” websites attaching to them as well.
5) Just think of what you would want posted on your Internet marketing site if you were a blog owner and “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.
