Some work from home products and services start at $1000 and up for you to be able to fully participate. If the products or services are unique or you are buying a franchise, this may be money well spent. In the age of Internet, we have many possibilities, but the advertisement for this “gifting” business video link I recently watched raised “red flags” for me!

The man video reassures the listener over and over of the legitimacy of the gifting program.

Do you think this would be considered an illegal way to make money on the Internet? In order to be a legal business, products and or services must be traded for money. 

I tell my kids,   “If your unsure whether what your thinking about doing is right or wrong, think about whether or you’d gladly tell Mom and Dad about.”

In this case, would you feel comfortable announcing your Internet gifting program to the FBI?

Online Shopping has become a frequent activity for most of us.  As people become busier with children, spouses, favorite activities and working, the freedom of placing a purchase over the Internet is much more attractive than spending an afternoon in the mall for many people.

Internet Homework

As I was helping my son with his homework the other night, I realized how often we went to the Internet for answers.  We no longer need to buy encyclopedias and a world atlas because we have that information available to us.  I was able to print a blank map for my son to use as a very efficient study guide. 

Think of how often you go to the Internet to play a game, shop, or use as a resource for homework, general questions, or build a work from home business.

Many people are turning to a work from home business because of the slumping economy. How many people do you know that need to supplement their current income? Do you know people who are looking for ways to boost their retirement income?

Many people have kids that are going to be heading off to college in a few years. I personally know many people in my home town who had their college money in stocks and bonds.   There are hundreds of reasons people want or need to make more money. Identify your target market and then decide if it’s large enough to make it work for your home-based business. Do you think most people will try your diet drink once out of curiosity or will they return month after month? Can they live without your product or service?

Relate the following example to the products or services you represent in your home-based business and ask yourself what most people will do?

For Example: You bought XYZ shampoo on television to “try it “and really liked it. The shampoo system will cost you about $35 per month, but you normally pay about $5 per month on shampoo because you buy it on sale at your local salon. Is the shampoo worth putting in your budget on a long-term basis?

This more expensive shampoo is sold by a company with a very large consumer base. Your one order isn’t that big of a deal, but EVERY order may be huge to you if your target market is small.

Each person will have to decide if they have the consumer base to support the home-based business they are pursuing. Is your product a “necessity” to enough of your market to create a successful business for you?

It’s Super Bowl Sunday!  This is a perfect evening for me to write a post on working from home and do some laundry.  My husband and son are well into the Super Bowl game and enjoying arguing over it.
