Success is defined as the complete attainment of  long planned goals, like a journey where a person starts taking on a single step at a time to reach a desired destination.

A certain level of personal development, personal growth and self-improvement helps a person to attain success in their lives.  These ingredients enrich relationships, career prospects, professional success and life in general.

Personal development, personal growth and self-improvement techniques are inter-related and help to improve  personal and professional lives. With hard work, discipline, and careful planning, being successful can  be attained.

Being Positive

If you want to be successful in life, you need the will and determination to push through with your goal and a positive outlook and perspective on life. Your optimism and the way you look at life’s situations will more or less affect and determine your performance.

Remember, a negative attitude drains a person’s spirit and energy.   Success starts with a positive mental attitude.  A positive attitude  keeps creative ideas flowing and energizes you so that you can move forward towards your goals.

Rest and Relax

If you feel that you are stressed, you always have the exclusive right to take a break.  Take some time to replenish yourself  physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Even one day or a few hours of good sleep can  help you bounce back to your usual self.

Building Self Confidence

Self-confidence means believing in oneself. A little boost in self-confidence allows you to take long steps towards achieving your goals in life.  A lack of self-confidence hampers personal growth. If you are one with low esteem and low self-confidence you should take steps to build your self-confidence before it is too late. People who lack self-confidence tend to have self-doubt, fear, inferiority complex, etc. If you want to be successful in life you need to overcome all these negative traits.

Feed Your Soul

Your body is not the only one who feels hunger. Your emotions and soul also needs to be fed, and you can do it by engaging in warm-hearting activities such as doing some volunteer work, spending time with your loved ones and family, taking care of a pet, etc.

As long as you don’t deprive yourself of the simple yet priceless things in life, you can be sure that you won’t have a hard time seeing the positive side of life. Learn to cherish and appreciate the simple things in life.  Make it a habit to be optimistic, yet realistic at the same time.

Phillip realizes that MLM companies are not the only ones who must devise a way to get the consumer to buy their products and still allow them to make money.  They may take a loss on one product (loss leader) because they know they will make it up elsewhere.

Cartridge Sales

Take the printer Phillip was looking into buying.  The company could take a loss or break even on the printer because they know the consumer must buy their specialized ink cartridges because they have made them unique to this printer.  They price the cartridges so that the profit margin will more than make up for any loss on the printer itself.  Who benefits?  The printer manufacturer, of course.  They have devised a way to ensure they will recoup the cost of the printer through their ink.

MLM Profits

The MLM company offers a large discount to those committed business builders knowing that they will be the largest users of their products, but requires a quantity purchase in order to receive a check.  It’s a similar concept as our printer company.  They have found their consumer !  It it up to the distributor to figure out how to sell or use their MLM products. The distributor is like a MLM Companies’ retailer.  Each level of distribution must effectively market their product in order to succeed.  The MLM company markets themselves and their product  to gain and retain distributors and then the distributors must effectively market  to gain retail customers or distributors of their own.

How is a retailer different from your local distributor? ….  this next post

ENetwork marketing works if the products or services offered have a market that needs them.  I believe in it because we all “network” at some point. It’s not always what you know, but who you know.  More business deals have been made on the golf course than in the boardroom.

Take my daughter for example:

She was looking for her first job at 16.  She turned in several applications, but nothing really happened. She also “networked” without realizing that’s what it was called.  She visited with friends to find out where they worked (she’s the youngest) and asked what it was like, if there were openings.  She would have used some of her friends as references (networking).

As it turned out networking did get her the two jobs she currently has.  I was in my investors office and they mentioned needing some part-time help.  I mentioned Kayla. They knew her and asked me to have her call them.  Her second job was acquired when we were picking out her prom dress.  We had purchased from them last year and been in there quite a bit.  The owner was looking for seasonal temporary help and asked Kayla to come work for her.  Networking, talking to people about what it is you’re looking for

We all network, but finding a company with products or services that will be in high demand by the general population makes it difficult.  Many MLM companies carry products that are not distinctive to the general public, but demand a high price.  If you just compare the number of MLM companies that carry nutrition and skin care products only to each other, how does a consumer decide which is truly distinctive?  You have to get them to try the product….. more later.

brenda2When the owner of an MLM company is structuring his/her compensation plan, do you think they count on the retail sales distributors provide to keep their doors open?

Most MLM’s are structured so that the distributors who are on autoship are the people who are counted on to pay for the business expenses.

While every company “needs” consumer sales to survive, MLM’s themselves don’t need many.  Consumer sales are “dessert” so to speak.

As an example:

Monty is a business builder with XYZ company and has committed to a $250 monthly autoship order (which is about 5 months for the average consumer).  Once Monty places the order, he can either sell the products or keep them for his own personal use.

This is actually a brilliant move because consumers are fickle.  The liklihood of them committing to $50 per month over a long period of time, much less $210 per month is extremely low (remember tax and s&h)  .

The network marketer is the entree and the consumer is the dessert!

brenda2One of the main differences between a blog and a static website is the way people are able to collaborate with your content. With a static site it’s just people reading words on a page.

When you have a blog they can explore and even comment back! You want to get that sort of interactive spirit going so you can create a loyal readership with your blog.

That doesn’t mean it’s easy! There are literally millions of blogs out there all vying for the attention of your audnce. It can be even harder to grab people’s attention when you’re just getting started.

The bad news is that it’s going to take some work and dedication to build up a loyal readership. The good news is that it’s very possible, and even fun, to put these things into place. Follow these rules and you’ll have the kind of repeat visitors and fans that really make blogging worth your while.

A Few Ideas For Great Blogs

Write Great Content

If your content stinks there is no way people are going to come back and read again! They’ll just click away, never to return. If you write great content, however, you’re sure to get some fans. Not everyone considers themselves to be a good writer. That’s OK! No one expects you to have perfect grammar and spelling. It’s far more important that you write interesting content that stands out from the crowd. Give your real thoughts and opinions on things that matter to the audience.

When you write great content, not only will you have people who want to visit your blog, but they will also link to you! You know that more linking means higher rankings in Google. That’s definitely a great thing that will expand your readership base to levels you couldn’t even imagine when you got started.

Leave the Comments Open

It’s amazing - but there are bloggers out there who close their comments! While it can be a lot of work to try and get rid of those spam comments, you’re also missing out on a big part of what being a blogger is all about. You need to let the audience write back and speak their mind too. People don’t just want a website they can read anymore, they want one they can add their “2 cents” to. So, leave your comments open and listen to them. It doesn’t matter if people always agree with you or not (they won’t!), you’ll get a much larger and interested following.

Guest Blog

The chances are good that there are some blogs out there that are very well-liked by the people in your niche. These blogs probably get a lot of traffic and a lot of respect. It’s time to get your name and website out there in front of this audience! All you need to do is write to the owner and say that you’d like to write some guest posts. They may be more than happy to take a break from their own posting and to give you a link back to your blog. This will not only give you link juice for the search engines, you’ll also win some of their loyal readers who are interested in what you have to say.

Learning how to create a loyal readership with your blog is incredibly important if you want your blog to thrive. It’s all about the people, and making sure they are aware of your blog and love your content.
